Countdown Recommences!

I have a period. I am not quite game to say it's *my* period because it's been so long I barely remember what it looks like.

I can't imagine accidentally getting someone else's, but I was in hospital for a day, and those places are famous for misplacing patients' belongings.

~~~
So I am now, once again, at least 12 months away from menopause.
Mine have completely changed with the mirena. Much much lighter, but go on forever. Like 12-14 days. If it doesn't improve in the next few months it is coming out and I get an endometrial ablation and my right ovary with the cyst removed. Which I am not happy about but I realise that I need to do something.
Yep. Mirena did something similar to me. And to someone else I know, now I think about it, who was also looking for a solution to heavy periods.
So either it's not that great, or those amongst us for whom it works aren't bothering to say anything!
Don't you hate it when you have to reset the counter?
I was so pleased when I made it to 12 months without a period. All done! Big yay and throw away the condoms.
Yep. Even with condoms I live in fear of accidents. So once it happens, I'll be very, very pleased.
Hospitals are also notable for opportunistic infections. Perhaps this was an opportunistic period they had going around?
Oh, by the way, my wife says write down the date of the last one. For the rest of your life, medical persons will be asking "When was the date of your last period?". All of them. Every visit.
You and me both, dammit. I was promised I'd finish with them 10 years ago!
