Happy New Year everyone!

I have been out and now I am off to bed.

Feeling reasonably optimistic about the year ahead.

I've done some posts about it, but so far only I can read them because I'm feeling all a bit private at the moment. I may rectify this in the coming days.

Today I decided to wash out our fancy-pants ceramic water filter that has been unused for several years. So I got out the vinegar and started splashing it around. But then I realised it was a bigger job than I could manage right now so I stopped. I put the filter lid back on, but the bathroom (which is where we keep the filter and bear in mind I'm using bathroom in the sense of 'room where you *bathe*', what else could it possibly mean...?) now has a vinegary smell.

Hopefully I'll be well enough to finish the job soon. But um, yeah...2009, the year the house smelled like a fish'n'chip shop.

Gosh I hope not.
