I recently joined Quickflix, and I've been helpfully advising them of items that would be worth adding to their library. So far none have appeared. Oh well. But with over 70 items in my queue, I guess I can afford to give them a few more weeks grace.

I've suggested Spaced, The Quiet Earth, Utu, and Dogs In Space (which I've never seen). Utu is the only one that no one in the country will bother watching except for me, so it would behoove them to take my suggestions seriously.

I need to make a polite phone call thanking someone for something they've done, but I'm not feeling very chatty. Nonetheless, it really must be done in the interests of human happiness and future goodwill. And also because I am genuinely grateful, just always embarrassed about showing that I am (and I'm buggered if I know why).
