I've been thinking about the food riots a lot lately. The food crisis might just be what finally overwhelms us. In years to come, maybe people will look back on how we live now and wonder how we could not be aware of the momentous changes that were underway all around us. Of how unsustainable and untenable our position was.

Trouble is, we might be prefectly aware but how many of us feel those events are remotely under our control? And if they aren't, what the hell do you do except keep on going about your business?
