Will be arranging a dentist first thing tomorrow.
Again with the not really noticing stuff and then the now noticing of stuff that maybe I was vaguely aware of but not to quite the degree of the fully sighted. Focus and clarity and detail hooray....my teeth look shocking.
For those friends who've no doubt been wondering and thoughtfully not saying anything, my actual teeth are quite healthy. They just look disgusting, like Mrs Miggins from the pie shop, as I'm now sure you've all been thinking (you bastards).
They look like the teeth of a heavy smoker with an illicit drug habit, an Elizabethan trying to look like her queen, or a Splodge who's been using clorhexidine mouthwash.
Clorhexidine has been on the daily menu since the nasty Phossy Jaw scare last year. It's the best oral antiseptic you can get, but it stains your teeth something shocking. After a couple of months of watching my teeth turn green, I found a brand that contains something else to counteract the staining and I thought the discolouration had eased somewhat, but I'm now wondering if maybe it's just that my cataracts had taken a turn for the worse.
Anyway, I apologise for any nightmares caused by my smile, promise it will soon be fixed and assure you that I will be solemn, maybe even sullen, until it's done.

No seriously I am utterly crap at noticing visual changes - I regularly fail to notice when people have gained/lost 20kg or chopped off their 3 foot long hair or something equally noticeable. New hair colour or glasses doesn't have a chance, so I guess teeth colour can be added to the list now...
Anyway, seems like it's something that's within your power to change so that's nice :)
Still on 25mg prednisolone ... will be trying to reduce to 12.5mg tomorrow so cross fingers for me.
