Two More Good Things.

2. The snot monster has definitely backed down.

3. Today I went to pull an envelope out of my letter box - it was an A4 size so it was sticking out the front - and the whole front of the box came out with it. Me, my envelope, my letter box. It was a perfect moment of visual comedy.

I guess you had to be there, really...
(And not be my Big Sister, who now has to call someone to fix it. The letterbox is set into a low brick wall, and a chunk of it has shifted either thanks to the earthquake or more likely, one of my neighbours driving into it. But it is important to always appreciate perfect comic moments.)

*snerk* Yes, gotta appreciate the comic moments.

As someone who lived with a mailbox which got hit by driveway-users on a regular basis, I also sympathize with Big Sis. Ours was not in a wall at least but on a wrought iron base which we could usually bend back into place sort of. Also, the driveway was deceitful in its curve, and the postbox was hard to see, so we forgave our guests for occasionally hitting it. A snowplow really did it in one year and Dad finally had to replace it, cleverly moving it to the less-endangered side of the driveway in the process.

Hooray for defeat of snotmonsters, and hope the cat's doing well too.
