I know it's wrong.

It's for purely selfish reasons. I do know it's good for all, especially cats, that things have changed.

But.

I just had to go the shed to get dinner, and outside there is the faintest scent of what could be tomcat, but probably is not.

And I realised that I miss the stray and roaming cats of yore. Glowing eyes in the dark, neighbourhood cats coming by on patrol.

Right now there is a neighborhood cat complaining loudly on my doorstep. He is desexed though.

As is the cat sitting on the garden steps, also complaining (obviously being fed once at my house in a day is not enough).

Later Cottee may wander by (creamy orange tom cat; obviously not desexed, hence the nickname).

The first two do have owners, they just spend a lot of time hanging out here. And complaining. Cottee is ownerless, and complains much less. I could post him down to you?

Poor Cottee!

There just aren't any cats in Melbourne anymore. Not even friendly neighbour cats.
