The Noodle's Guide To Living Well.

#826: Eat breakfast.

It's remarkable how much more sane you feel when you've got something in your stomach. Toast is okay, but porridge is excellent and dead easy with the rice cooker. It can only be a sign of how weird and topsy turvy my life went that I fell of the habit of breakfast this year. Me? No breakfast? No way!

Today I took a leisurely trundle to the vet for cat fud, which turned into a major shopping trip at the nearby plaza. To think I don't take myself out to cafes for coffee because it's a foolish waste of money. Nah. Instead I just wander round spending even more money on random groceries on the grounds it's sensible spending.

And it will be, or at least it won't be a total waste, if I get up off my bottom and put it in the freezer. Also I got to look the butcher in the eye and tell him I'd like six hot Mexicans, that's a lot more fun than quietly drinking coffee. I crack me up sometimes.

Ahhhh, let me edumacate you. The coffee experts now say you shouldn't store your coffee beans/grounds in the freezer. Which is pretty good for limited freezer space.

Ah - edited. I spend on groceries instead. And other crap. It's the sausages that need to be frozen. And the bacon.

In a lightproof and airtight container - just in the cupboard is fine. After all those years of being told to store it in the freezer it feels odd. But there you are!

*looks sheepish*

I'm just keeping mine on the bench (sealed though)...but I'm going through rather a lot of it ATM, putting it in the cupboard seems redundant.

I keep my decaf - which I use a lot - in a tin on the bench too.

THe packet of coffee I brought back from Hawaii nearly a year ago is glad to hear that. *shame*

Breakfast, especially with some protein in it, is the best thing I've yet found to treat CFIDS.

Although jokes like "six hot Mexicans" come close.

And the butcher seemed to enjoy it as well.
