Appropriate application of pain relief has improved the day considerably but aye carumba, it got dark early!

Have been idly shopping online for bulbs, and seeds of green leafy stuff. Life (and my diet) is always better when I have green leafy stuff to hand. I still have no master plan for the garden, but prior experience tells me that if I don't do anything, I'll have....nothing. The key to a good healthy, happy garden is to plant stuff, end of story. Just not trees - you do need to know what you're doing before you bung in a blue gum. (Or Jerusalem artichokes because oh god...ahahahaha....*whimper*).

Quite a few of the seeds I planted last week have germinated. (Bummer about not bothering to record which went where...but they were all edible things so I'm unlikely to kill myself).

I only have to think about plants and all sorts of memories come flooding to the surface. Some happy, some sad. Some feelings of grief, some of pleasant nostalgia and some of hope.

~~~
I've also been taking myself off to the study to play with paint and pictures and to come up with more questions than I can answer about why I want to play with this stuff. (In particular: why am I most concerned with developing skills that would help me to produce work that doesn't actually have a lot of personal meaning for me? Okay - the process has meaning, I enjoy doing it, but when I see other examples of that sort of work, my heart doesn't leap. So...why?)
Fortunately, I seem to be have been able to stop before complete brain melt.
~~~

Am attending tomorrow's appointment, but cancelled today's and Thursday's.

What sort of edible things have you started from seed?

Errrr...I think the ones that have germinated are radishes, possibly mizuna, rocket and something I can't identify. I was just tossing in seed that's been sitting in a bag for the last two years ...and was a bit slack with tagging things.

I will visit soon and could infest your garden with recently harvested rocket seeds?
