I almost, almost, just nearly started the curtain making process, but there are calculations to be done aaargh.

On the plus side, I found a book I'd forgotten about: Singer Sewing Book: The Complete Guide To Sewing, which looks like it will tell me everything. When I'm feeling brave enough to read it.

Making curtains is a project that's been on the list for a long time. That's the list that ends with "do tax", although fortunately prior to that I have "learn modern Greek" and possibly even "learn a bit of Vietnamese" and "go abseiling", which is preceded by "recover enough to go abseiling" and "overcome morbid fear of heights". So I have every reason to avoid "do tax" for a little longer.

Although given how I feel about making curtains, I might do the "do tax" thing first (but after learning two languages, recovering from CFS, and overcoming my morbid fear of heights).

Last night I started reading The Long Firm by Jake Arnott, a semi-historical novel about organised crime, gay culture and nightclub culture in 1960's London. I was half way through before I stopped, which is quite something for me.

I have also bitten the bullet and made an appointment to see my GP next week, by which time I hope I'll be okay enough to get there and back without dire consequences. And hopefully I will also be well enough to discuss the option of phone consultations when I'm too sick to attend, and some kind of method (if my GP is amenable) of getting messages through to her.

It would make my life easier, and if she can get her head around doing something a little differently, would not actually make my GP's life any harder.

It would be great to get those curtains done, but I think the cupboard under the sink might need tidying.

I'm glad you'll be seeing the GP!

I had to laugh at how you order and reorder your list.
