Woke up with a massive sore throat. There's a measles outbreak in my area, and I have a buggered up immune system, so I rely on herd immunity to stay safe (which is kind of the point of herd immunity). Unfortunately there's been a significant drop in the immunisation rates for kids, as a response to antivax propaganda (these are not kids from poor families and/or families with language barriers).

Point being, if I wind up with measles I will be very pissed off. Also, sick.

I've just had a food delivery from my friends who run a small business doing frozen meals. Which I had completely forgotten about. And what with being loaded up on codeine for sore throat and headache, I was dopey as hell at them. And also vague and weird I think, on account of how living alone and being isolated means you are vague and weird if you don't have warning that you need to put your metaphorical pants on because the outside world is about to drop in.

In other news, it's sticky and humid out there, so I'll be in here until further notice.

Even though I had Measles as a kid, I must admit to being quite nervous about this outbreak. God I detest anti-vaxxers, and there are so many of them in my Lyme groups. I have to bite my tongue most days.

Did you have measles as a kid? You would have some immunity, then even with a messed up immune system.
Anti-vaxxers are the craziest of the crazy.
