Memo to self:

WAKE UP!

Yes, it's one of those days. The cool, wet weather is probably contributing but I refuse to complain about it for obvious reasons. Yay for cool, wet weather. More, more I say.

If we returned to something approximating normal rainfall round here, I'd have such a lush garden. I can't believe how much I used to water before the drought really set in - all that mains water on top of all that rainfall. It boggles the mind. Of course I grew different things too, and this time of year the garden was active and busy rather than in reverse hibernation, lying low and holding out for cooler and wetter weather, like it is now.

Have you modified your plumbing to use greywater for the garden?

I believe she has.

I wish I could too. We bucket the laundry water on to the garden but it's an Office of Housing place so I'm not allowed to modify and the laundry is at the back and the garden at the front so I'm not sure it's do-able anyway :(

I love my garden a lot.

Yes, we have a greywater system in that diverts water, stores it for up to 24 hours and filters it.

wake... up? zzzzzzzzzzk.

I finally crawled out of bed around 6 local time. It was hard.

We're having a lot of rain here (which is good since we were facing a drought and water rationing), and it *seems* to be holding at a nice steady "enough rain to do some good but not enough to cause floods or landslides". HOpe both our wet weathers stick around.

I've gone down for a nap with the baby twice. Three extra hours of sleep.

I have missed weather like this.

Yes. I know just what you mean. As you know, we often have the same drought problems. I love the sun but fully realize the need for this cooler and wet weather we've been having.
