I told my beloved tenbears he should have a hot chocolate, but
tenbears does not want a hot chocolate.

Nor do I, but it's that sort of day.

Someone should be drinking hot chocolate. Maybe not either of us, but someone.

~~~
Two days ago I was being all fragile and princess-like. I managed to hoik the tiara off yesterday and am now feeling good about Getting Things Done(TM), not to mention pleased that I was actaually *able* to do so. But I didn't sleep well at all last night and I've done more stuff today, so it might be prudent to put the tiara back on again.
~~~

Maybe I should read a book or something. I do have some, after all.

You will be pleased to know that two people have commented on this post, one of whom had made hot chocolate for her children, the other had hot chocolate last night. The latter is Somewhere In Europe ATM, but she's from here so I figure that counts for something.

I made up a jug of hot chocolate as an after school treat for the girls today. I didn't have any myself. Maybe later. :-)

It's still warm enough here for me to drink cold Quik. Roll on hot chocolate weather I say!

I happen to have *several* tiaras.

Perhaps I should wear them on those sorts of days. Having something which is trying to slide off my head might be a useful reminder that I should be a bit more careful.

And I had rather too much chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and ice cream. Hot chocolate would be oh so superfluous.

Hm. Raspberry with chocolate is wrong, sorry.

But the tiara collection (which somehow does not surprise me) does ameliorate things somewhat.

I'm sorry I can't drink hot chocolate in your honour because it's 32ºC right now.

But YAY for doing. So yes, put that tiara back on and rest.

Funnily enough, after posting I kept right on with the doingbear stuff, I even went to the supermarket with 10B. Eventually he *told* me to sit down, right before I was about to beetle off and do more things. Moreover, he told me to sit down in the kitchen (he was cooking dinner and dealing with the groceries) where I didn't actually have anything to do.

A sensible lad.

So yes, tiara is back on for a while.

Re: Hello there
Heavens, where have you been? I was contemplating an "I'm not stalking, just hoping you're okay" email.

It's good to see you! :-)

And I do hope all is well.

I'm reading Victory by Susan Cooper.

And in the latest pile from the library I have:
King Of Shadows, Susan Cooper (audio)
The Year 1000 by Lacey and Danzinger
Rome In Africa by Susan Raven
Secret Knowledge David Hockney (again)
plus a book of Fred Williams' paintings with text by Patrick McCaughey and a bunch of other random things: some knitting books, drawing books (which probably won't see much use, I keep borrowing them and not quite getting round t them) and a few more history ones, to do with Rome and Etruscan civilisation. Seriously doubt I'll get through them all, but it's the fun of shopping without the cost. :-)

Well I made myself a lovely rich thick Italian hot chocolate last night: the sort that you can eat with a spoon.
