CFS Link.

Hilary Johnston's take on XMRV. She certainly makes clear the effect of the political stuff on human suffering pretty clear.

(Thanks braunie)

Like most of us, as far as XMRV goes, at this point I am 'watching with interest'.

Yep, I'm watching with interest too! So pleased to see some decent research :) Given me a real boost.

This is the most promising lead I've known in my 16 years of knowing about CFIDS. It's cause for hope.

I hope that's not what they'll put on my gravestone:

"She watched with interest."

It's an important discovery even if XMRV turns out not to be the cause of CFS. The fact that almost everyone with CFS has XMRV, and almost no one without CFS has XMRV, is STRONG evidence that CFS is a real physical illness and not just "all in our heads."

Scary, isn't it? I do hope medical science comes up with an answer soon... although, then, of course, I'll have to stop using the term "chronic fatigue" and actually find out what's wrong with me (I'm pretty sure I don't have M.E. but I've got a lot of the same symptoms).
